William D. Prystauk I would enter the dystopian world of Philip K. Dick's, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" There's something about the element of "possibility" even in the face of a dying world.

William D. Prystauk Hi, Robert:

There's only one William D. Prystauk on the planet (unless my anti-matter self is strolling around again), so I guess it's me. Now, which Robert are you?

William D. Prystauk I wanted to tell a tale that incorporated the things I love: punk rock and alternative living. A book I'd want to read because it didn't follow the usual expectations or formulaic doldrums of commercial fiction.

In all honesty, the idea behind BLOODLETTING had fermented for so long, I cannot really explain the actual origin.
William D. Prystauk I'm grateful for having many story ideas. The only problem is that they come to me in fragments, most often, so it can take days to years before an entire story comes together. However, thanks to my eight years as a marketer, I can write on demand if need be.

Writing is an extension of who I am, so the inspiration is already built in.
William D. Prystauk A paranormal crime thriller called RED AGENDA, which is being adapted from another award-winning screenplay of mine. I am also working on a horror thriller about an apocalypse of sorts - without engaging the usual tropes.
William D. Prystauk READ! A lot. When not reading, write. Both go hand in hand. Most important, every writer has weaknesses. Therefore, discover yours and work to overcome them. Otherwise, if you cannot take constructive criticism and improve your craft, do not write at all.
William D. Prystauk Creating my own universe and sharing my tales with others.
William D. Prystauk There's no such thing. I used to call it "writer's excuse," but that's not true either.

If a writer is thinking about a story in his or her head, they are writing, even though the words haven't yet made it to paper. What many mistake for "writer's block" is simply due to the writer having several options to choose from for a story, scene or character.

The writer can either daydream about the character and trust where they lead him or her, or to choose a path, write, and see what happens.
