Samantha Rowley The best thing about being a writer is being able to invent stories that other people will enjoy. I love reading myself and have always been an avid reader of lots of different genres.
I love the freedom of being able to sit and write and get an immense amount of satisfaction when someone tells me that they enjoyed the book I've written because I loved writing it so to hear that it's touched someone else is a great feeling.
Samantha Rowley My next book I am working on is about a women who is having an affair with her husband's best friend and what happens to her when she decides to break it off. It's based on the premise of - how well do you really know someone - and I'm loving working on it.
Samantha Rowley My most recent book - You Only Need One: A Living Kidney Donation Experience was inspired by my kidney donation to my sister-in-law. I wanted to tell the story to raise awareness of the need for living kidney donors and also so that people can read what is actually involved in donating a kidney. I also hope that it will encourage people to think about donation and realise that it's not as scary as it all sounds.
Samantha Rowley I'm always thinking about writing. I wake up thinking about it and go to sleep thinking about it. Some of my writing is inspired by life events and then others just that I feel the story I have inside me I want to share with others. Life is inspiring for me.
Samantha Rowley Never give up. I have been writing for years but never did anything with my writing and then last year I tried to get an agent which was time consuming and very disheartening sometimes so I decided to self publish and it was the right decision for me. People are reading my books, printed as well as kindle versions and my reviews are good. Believe in yourself and what you can achieve.
Samantha Rowley I haven't actually suffered from writers block so far so haven't had to deal with it but I imagine that I would probably take some time out and deliberately not think about the book and concentrate on other things and then in a few days time come back to the book and try writing again.
I find some of my ideas actually come to me when I am not even thinking about writing.
