Remembering Aramullah

The year may have been 1967, and Aramullah lived next door. A friend and I used to go to school by ordinary bus, and it wasn’t pleasant.

Aramullah ran a restaurant somewhere in the city, and had an old, black car. When he saw us struggling to get a bus, he would give us a lift, and drop us at the school gate.

He spoke about Iran, he was against the Shah, and believed he would be overthrown. He said
