Juls was born in 1971, and grew up in a small West Texas oil field town. She studied Clinical Psychology and worked in a private practice helping others through various therapies before having her own crisis that would ultimately change her beliefs in everything. Two marriages, two divorces and multiple attempts at finding love, Juls set out on a journey of self-discovery that would take her right back to the place she had begun – a nature loving little girl in love with herself, her world and her words.

Not the type of church I grew up with but my own version. I am lucky enough to live within walking distance of three beaches. I check the tides (I'm a low tide girl) and venture off barefoot through nature to the beach that suits my mood that day. I meditate, connect with nature, swim and walk along the edge of the sea where the edge of low tide meets land. It is healing energy that sparks creativity. Then I come back to my writing and if it flows, I let it. If it does not, I do something else creative. Forcing anything is negative energy. Negative energy blocks creativity. (less)

I write from the soul and there are no rules in that sweet place. It feels amazing to write freely, no grammar, no fear of what others might think, just letting it flow.(less)

“Walk through pain, face it, lay down in it and rest. Get up and walk again, repeat until you reach the end.”
Juls Amor, THE YEAR OF THE FROG

“I used to cry when I thought of living the rest of this life alone. Tears would fill my eyes while my heart would yearn. But now I feel empowerment in that acceptance. Power in knowing it is up to me to be happy ever after. I will not wait for him. After all, this awakening has just begun, it is going to take a man at the same point on the path I am. If I am going to fall allowing my spirit to completely melt into his manly grace, it is necessary he be awake.”
Juls Amor, THE YEAR OF THE FROG

“I could have chosen to hide it all and retain your praise but it was still there rustling in my gut with or without your love.
To hate me for my truth means you loved me for my lies.”

“We can be a victim or a creator. One takes negative memories to use as a crutch, remain the same and blame. The latter takes negative memories accepting responsibility for choosing the situation to learn, evolve and change.”

“I have come to terms with the reality this life may not bring another romantically to share this journey with me. I do this not just for me, but for everyone who spends their life seeking and wishing. When we are wishing, we are missing.”
