Reading will allow you to see what works well for others, and it will help you to find your own voice. Reading also helps strengthen your brain. Writing is a craft that must constantly be worked on. Never stop working on the craft, even if you can only only do a few lines a day. Listening gives you material for your own stories. Everyone has a story to tell, and hearing other people talk about their lives and problems will help you develop your own characters into believable, deep, and authentic people. (less)
