Kevin Wood is the author of “Diary of a Sociopathic Vicar”. His other books include "Runaway's Railway" and "Runaway's River", both of which are Young Adult. He also writes short stories which you can find in the Yorkshire Times.

He's a chartered engineer, a musician, a martial artist and does a few other bits and pieces as well, just so he doesn't get bored when he isn't writing.

He lives in the Yorkshire Dales with his wife Hayley (who painted the cover illustrations for "Runaway's Railway" and "Runaway's River", and also drew the map of Sutley for "The Diary of a Sociopathic Vicar"). He has two children who are more-or-less grown up now, three cats and a variable number of ducks and chickens.

When you're not writing, read.
If you want to buy a book on writing, then always check the number and type of books the author has written. There's quite a few authors out there that only sell books on writing. They may be very good at what they do, but unless you want to write books on writing as well, they may not be the best tutors.
If you *do* want to get a book on writing, then the best one available is "On Writing" by Stephen King. I reckon he's sold enough books to have a valid opinion.(less)

“There’s no denying the fact that smart phones have become more and more important in our lives. It’s the first thing that you look at when you wake up, and it’s likely the last thing that you look at before going to sleep. Smart phones have become a vital tool in a common man’s life.”
