Albany Book Festival on April 27, 2013

Ga Ga! Yep, that's how I was when I met Mary McDonough (who was Erin on the Waltons) at the Southern KY Book Fest. I loved the Waltons growing up and was sure that I would have at least eight children growing up! (Then I had three and came to my senses.) Mary was so nice and very normal! Her book, Lessons from the Mountain, sounds so interesting. This weekend I'll be at the Albany Children's Book Festival and I'm giggling to think of all the authors I'll get to met. I've never been to this festival and I'm tickled that they will have advance copies of The Lost Princess for sale.

Only Author With This Problem?

My husband is mad at me because I've been gone the last couple of weekends promoting my books. And I'm going to be at the Hudson Children's Book Festival this Saturday! I wonder if other authors have this problem? I'm excited about the sneak peek release of The Lost Princess, Mermaid Tales #5, but wish my hubby wouldn't be mad!

Princess Party

Oh my goodness! Saturday was so much fun. Doylestown Bookshop had a Princess Party to celebrate the release of The Lost Princess. We had a princess lesson on manners, sang the Mermaid Song (because princesses love to sing), read from The Lost Princess, decorated crowns, and had princess cupcakes! I crammed my body into my daughter's amazingly beautiful junior prom dress and wore her fifth grade Cinderella tiara to become a princess for the day!
