I wanted it to include the Norse pagan origins of the holidays in a way that fosters feelings of warmth and magic the way Christmas stories do.

The search went on for a month. I couldn't find anything that met my expectations. I eventually decided to write it myself and turned my attention to researching the origins of Christmas and Santa. Following this I had a head full of ideas! I just had to combine them into the perfect, humble and inclusive book for kids.(less)
