Keep writing. Keep exploring the craft and honing your skills. The only way to improve is to write. Understand that much of what you write early on will never get read by anyone outside your friends and family. It's practice. You're improving.

Two, let writing be an artistic outlet. Don't force it. Follow your heart and let the words come from your soul. You're not out to impress anyone. Just write.(less)

One, I'm distracted with something else going on in my life. I have a full-time job, a wife, and five daughters so it's not hard for some life event to trump writing on the priority list. When that happens I either need to take some time off from writing or I need to work on something less demanding. Two, I'm burned out. I've been working too hard. I need a break. When that happens I usually take a break. I need a break. I need to walk away from my writing and allow my mind to rest and reset.(less)

“Leave it all on the track. Live with no regrets. Spend less time looking in life’s rearview mirror and more time looking ahead at the road stretched before us and the opportunities that await. Why not, indeed?”
Mike Dellosso

“I guess that’s what a regret is. A poor decision you made that you now wish like crazy you could go back and change because you know if you’d chosen another path, your life would be different. Better.”
Mike Dellosso, Rearview

“Normally my father didn’t talk with someone, he either talked to them or over them, and sometimes right through them. And he couldn’t have cared less if anyone actually listened to him, he talked more to hear himself speak than to be heard.”
Mike Dellosso, A Million Miles From Home
