11th June 2019. I've taken a rest from writing and turned my attention back to oil painting. And reading more books.
14th April 2018. Editing done, checked and approved by me. Designers have done the cover and back (for the paperback). The inside designed with chapter headings, formatted and it looks now like a real book! Reading it again to iron out any glitches.
30th December 2017. Thanks to all you beta readers. Your comments enabled me to polish my story, to make it even better. Have now sent the manuscript yesterday to Lulu Publishing. The editing begins!
20th July 2017. Now reading through my manuscript having taken a break. I'm reading with a fresh pair of eyes. I surprise myself how good the book is (where's my modesty?). Soon I shall be hunting for those beautiful beta readers to help shape this third book into something special.
26th April 2017. 'You trust your dad to love you and want the best for you, but you also trust that he's a pedantic idiot at times'.Yes. I've just read that in Gillian McAllister's book, Everything But The Truth.
14th March 2017. Finished the draft manuscript for my next book. Now taking a breather to read several other books before I go back to my own book.
18th October 2016. London with Love got launched in July. Lots of really good reviews. Starting to write the new book now.
1st June 2016. My latest book is almost finished with the editing at the publishers. Looking now for people to read & review later in June.
17th Feb 2016. Finished the manuscript having taken all the advice from my beta readers. Have passed it today to Lulu Publishing for their editing. The process begins.
17th August. London Red got recommended on an American site by email to their membership. The Fussy Librarian checks out books for top reviews and low price, a sort of quality check.
27th May. Got my first royalty cheque from publishers, Lulu, for my book London Red. Great feeling. I'm pushing ahead with a second book, another romance, sex and some thriller content.
11th Jan. Just got the book up there for sale on the Lulu Publishing site. Now I need to get it onto Amazon etc, but that will take 6-8 weeks.
20th Dec. Finally approved the fab cover for the book. Still tweeking the inside design, layout, chapter headings, etc. On track to launch in January.
Vernice wrote: "Hi Chris! Can't wait to read your book... you've got me very intrigued... ;)"I'll be sending you an ARC next month for your pleasure !!
27th Nov. Just finished the Track and Change stage of my first book, which is where my editor makes changes to the manuscript allowing me to agree or disagree. So exciting!
