Plus the fact that there hasn't been much in modern fiction done with them outside of a couple of B-movies. Having Samson partying with the Palestinians before turning against them was not a far stretch from him doing the same thing with the Philistines four thousand years earlier. Neither was Delilah manipulating the situation for her own purposes. Yet he ends up doing the will of God, and it's a superhero story for the ages. I think if youth ministers discover this book, they'll find their youth group will really have something to talk about.(less)

Jack and Lucretia, Bree and Hoyt, Carl and Angie, the list goes on. Yet I would have to give the nod to Princess Jennifer and Berlin Mansfield, Northern Ireland's version of Beauty and the Beast. It is the most unlikely pairing, yet their love burns among the strongest. JRD's "TIara" is as much a suspense/thriller about the Northern Ireland conflict as it is about Jennifer and Berlin. If you're looking for an unusual romance tale you'll never forget, this may be the one.(less)
