Thanks for taking the time to visit my page! I'm so excited my debut novel, The Other Side of Later, is now available on Amazon!

While I graduated from college with a degree in engineering, by the time I was in my late 20s, I discovered my real passion is writing. I wrote The Other Side of Later over the course of a couple years late at night, on weekends, and during any minute I could spare.

I've been a Jersey Shore resident my entire life, and I wouldn't dream of living anywhere else! In my spare time, I love going to the beach, listening to country music, and running along the shore.

It's so simple, but so true. I grew up at the Jersey Shore. It's what I know so that's where set The Other Side of Later. So many of the places are based off of places from my everyday surroundings.

As for the concept of the book, it was definitely one of those "ah ha" moments. I was running one afternoon in the summer and passed an old classmate. We didn't exchange words, but it gave me the idea of how Julia and Drew would cross paths 10 years after high school graduation. The rest of the plot came from idea after idea compounding on one another until the pieces of the story came together. (less)

“That’s the funny thing about life...you don’t know you’re missing something. Then when you get it, you don’t know what you’d do without it.”
D.K. Hamilton, The Other Side of Later

“The ideas and ideals that we have in our 18 year old heads when we graduate from high school are hardly realistic.”

“Maybe that's what it all comes down to. Love, not as a surge of passion, but as a choice to commit to something, someone, no matter what obstacles or temptations stand in the way. And maybe making that choice, again and again, day in and day out, year after year, says more about love than never having a choice to make at all.”
Emily Giffin, Love the One You're With

“I think of how each person in a marriage owes it to the other to find individual happiness, even in a shared life. That this is the only way to grow together, instead of apart.”
Emily Giffin, Heart of the Matter

“Songs and smells will bring you back to a moment in time more than anything else. It's amazing how much can be conjured with a few notes of a song or a solitary whiff of a room. A song you didn't even pay attention to at the time, a place that you didn't even know had a particular smell.”
Emily Giffin, Something Borrowed
