Born and raised in northern New Jersey, I went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both my Bachelor's degree in English and Psychology and for Master of Arts in Teaching - English. I was an NCAA varsity athlete (Fencing) all four years, though you certainly wouldn't guess it. I love the sport and all the people it introduced to me, including my wonderful husband.

After graduation, I stayed in the Chapel Hill area, and settled down in Hillsborough, NC, with my husband, son, and daughter. My kids (and my husband) are adorable and exhausting and I love them to the moon and back, along with the rest of my family spread out along the Atlantic coast and in parts of Europe.

Finding peace in chaos

To say that this year has been a bit stressful is a bit of an understatement.

I haven't written on here since just a few weeks after my father passed away. Nearly three months have passed since I posted, but every time I thought about writing something up, it seemed like all my thoughts were the same as before.
