It's set in the Yorkshire Dales, and it features an ageing rock star and his spoilt daughter, a disgraceful politician and his shrewd wife, a young woman who's caught up in a situation she has no idea how to escape from, and a rather gorgeous farmer! Topics Mentioning This Author

“One must learn to love, and go through a good deal of suffering to get to it, and the journey is always towards the other soul.”
D.H. Lawrence

“All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.”
T.E. Lawrence, Seven Pillars of Wisdom: A Triumph

“A woman unsatisfied must have luxuries. But a woman who loves a man would sleep on a board”
D.H. Lawrence

“This is what I believe: That I am I. That my soul is a dark forest. That my known self will never be more than a little clearing in the forest. That gods, strange gods, come forth from the forest into the clearing of my known self, and then go back. That I must have the courage to let them come and go. That I will never let mankind put anything over me, but that I will try always to recognize and submit to the gods in me and the gods in other men and women. There is my creed.”
DH Lawrence

“And all the time she felt the reflection of his hopelessness in her. She couldn't quite, quite love in hoplessness. And he, being hopeless, couldn't ever love at all.”
D. H. Lawrence, Women in Love (mobi)
