I love that she's determined, if impatient, and excels at a job that she loves. I love that she's, in the common parlance, BFF's with her former training officer, Hector Rodriguez, a wise-cracking, goodnatured, bear of a man. I love that Izzy challenges her new partner, the caring, reserved, but deeply principled Mark Jameson. And I love the fact that, even if they don't agree, the characters care deeply for one another and for the citizens that they protect. In retrospect, I'm glad that the I ended up liking my characters because, when I'm writing, I end up spending 8 hours a day (or more) with them!(less)

The first is the sequel to Heart Break, Break In. Biologists, this one is for you! It will feature a neuroscience based plot and, of course, the deepening friendship of Swift and Jameson.

The second project is just being sketched out, but I am very much looking forward to starting it.
