Alas, he failed to notice that his unseen assailants had wings until they swooped in and snatched him with their greedy talons, incapacitating him while keeping him alive long enough to drift asleep in the numbing serenity of the heavens.(less)

Stepping aside is the easiest way I've found to deal with it, since it gives me more free time to discover an idea. When it comes to actually fleshing out the book, I craft a very abbreviated outline first, so that when its time to write individual chapters and/or segments, I know what I need to accomplish from the start. I find that using both of the above strategies helps me keep writer's block away.

August Release

When thoughts are archived and searchable, the only choice is to obey. Anything else leads to punishment, which can include a trip to the recycler. Over 7 tales, citizens discover harmony is a mirage created by the ruling Institute for Reproductive Synergy, a body founded in wartime to mass-produce soldiers. That old conflict is a reminder that peace at any cost is better than the alternatives.
