WHY I HATED WRITING ONE OF MY MAIN CHARACTERS

She cries.
She runs.
She freaks out.

Ryan, the female lead in The Resurrection of Ryan, was my biggest struggle to write.

When I plotted the book, I knew it was going to be difficult but I wasn't prepared for how I felt about writing Ryan.

She was weak, a coward and selfish.

It wasn't until someone else pointed out her many strengths that I began to see her in a new light.

I struggled the entire book writing her.

I feared readers would be turned...

LOVE AND ANGELSISGETTING A PAPERBACK

"That cover is GORGEOUS! It might be my favorite one yet!" I told my cover designer the day she emailed me the finished ebook cover for Love and Angels.

I'd only ordered the ebook cover and not one for a paperback.

The novella is half the size of the other books in the series, would anyone really want a paperback that small?

THE HARDEST THING ABOUT WRITING

Sweat drips down my forehead and my chest throbs with anxiety.

"Just emailed you the round one edits," my editor alerts me in a Facebook message.

I delay opening the email for at least a day, maybe two.

Once I open it and take a look at the comments inside, I'll briefly wonder if I should really be doing this.

Then, I shut off my brain and thicken my skin and dive into fixing the issues.

"Just emailed you round two," she says after a blissful week of not think...

WHY I CHOSE ANGELS TO REPRESENT GOOD, EVIL AND CORRUPTION IN MY DEBUT NOVEL F*cking plot holes.

Why would Kass, the male lead character, up and leave one night with no trace to find him if he truly loved Laney, the female lead character?

I couldn’t answer the question.

No real-life reasons made sense.

I took a break. A few days where I didn’t think about the novel, well a few days where I planned to not think about it.

Naturally, it was all I thought about but I didn’t write. Not a single wor...
