I've always been a little odd I suppose, dreaming up mythical creatures and climbing castle walls in my childhood back gardens.

I spent my early childhood in South Africa before moving to England at the age of 8. I lived there with my family for three years before we returned to the hot Eastern Coast of Africa's tip. It's moulded me into some kind of hybrid, an abnormally English yet very much outdoor adventurer.

But no matter where I was, I've always been a writer. My experiences through Europe and Africa leaked into my writing and fuelled an intense hunger for travel within me.
