With voices running around in her head, and a knack for making stuff up, DB Kennison did the most reasonable thing she could—she began to write books about serial killers. Fueled with beer, cheese, and the rare marshmallow binge, her style is an entertaining mix of genres that keep readers guessing.
A Colorado native, she now resides among the rolling hills and limestone bluffs of Wisconsin with her husband, and two spoiled dachshunds, which vie for position as daily muse.
DB is hard at work on the third novel in the Randi Lassiter trilogy and the first book in a new thriller series.

Maybe it's cliché, but I wanted her to be the damaged, slightly broken woman that you just know is going to pull herself up by the bootstraps, gain confidence, and eventually kick some ass. Randi is a figment of my imagination, but once I started writing her, she came to life! Thanks for asking, Rosanna. (less)

The truth is, I've always been drawn to the dark, scary, and all too real things in life. The things that make my heart pump a little faster, goosebumps rise on my skin, and the hair prickle at my nape.

Seriously though, I know that sounds a bit twisted but I think it's the science and psychology of it that draws me in. When I hear about a real life crime, I have burning questions about the "why of it". What makes the psychopath tick? What is broken within them? What drives them?

For instance, take the BTK killer, Dennis Rader. He was a pillar of the community and yet, he was a serial killer. What made him who he is?

Look at Ted Bundy, charismatic honor student, Republican activist, a trusted friend to many--and yet, a sadistic sociopath. He confessed to killing 30 victims (it's believed there were more) and decapitating 12. What the hell?

Meh, maybe I should've been a psychologist. Now at least, I can study the dark minds and deeds in order to capture their character on the page.

Fear: Is is Keeping You From Fullfilling Your Dreams?

Be Fearless!

It would be fabulous if everyone could embrace this statement and apply it to their daily lives. Some individuals do this without thinking about it, for them, it comes naturally without angst, shortness of breath, or bruising of ego.

Then, there’s me—the epitome of an introvert. I’m the one who has to bolster myself before approaching the drive up window at the fast food joint, hyperven

Louise L. Hay
“I do not fix problems. I fix my thinking. Then problems fix themselves.”
Louise Hay

Audrey Hepburn
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
Audrey Hepburn

Selena Robins
“There was no way to lead up to this gently. With a surge of assertiveness driven by desire as well as a couple of cosmopolitans, she took both his hands in hers and mustered up her confidence. “I want you to lick me cross-eyed.”
“You want me to what?”
“Okay, that sounded better inside my head.” She squeezed his hands. “I want sex. Great sex. Alex, let’s do it.”
Selena Robins, What a Girl Wants

“Dogs were like the worst drunks - lunging at crotches then pissing over other people's shoes.”
