But for an introduction, with the stories reworked in more of a narrative form and some good artwork, I'd say Padraic Colum's "The Children of Odin" would be a good choice.(less)

The Return of Sean

The time has finally come. Sean is back with the second installment of his saga, The Well of Time.

The tale has grown in the telling, to quote another guy who had an occasional issue with publication delays. The Last Battle, the third and last book of the series, is complete and will be forthcoming this year, along with Kindle editions of both the books. Read more of this blog post »

The Sorcerer's Valley by Megan Leigh
"I like winter. At least when I am beside the fireplace drinking mulled wine with friends. When I am out in it walking beneath gray sky and leafless trees, else shivering in city winds that defy every layer... winter is a goddam depressing and solitar" Read more of this review »

Robin Hood by Eric Tanafon
"Based on the original Robin Hood ballads, but with a werewolf twist, this book was better than I expected it to be. "
Colleen the Wanderer by Raymond St. Elmo
"Colleen the Wanderer.

Great title, if a bit misleading. At least in the case of our not-so-sweet Colleen. She is a girl, so she fits the definition of that Irish word, colleen. She’s also a wanderer, but more by compulsion than desire.

Pragmatic, and " Read more of this review »

“And see not ye that bonny road,
Which winds about the fernie brae?
That is the road to fair Elfland,
Where you and I this night maun gae.”
Walter Scott

James Stephens
“The chief business of the gods is to give protection and assistance to such of their people as require it; but...they cannot give any help until it is demanded, the free-will of mankind being the most jealously guarded and holy principle in life; therefore, the interference of the loving gods comes only on an equally loving summons.”

“I must create a system, or be enslaved by another man's. I will not reason and compare: my business is to create.”
William Blake, Jerusalem: The Emanation of the Giant Albion

Friedrich A. Hayek
“It is true that the virtues which are less esteemed and practiced now--independence, self-reliance, and the willingness to bear risks, the readiness to back one's own conviction against a majority, and the willingness to voluntary cooperation with one's neighbors--are essentially those on which an individualist society rests. Collectivism has nothing to put in their place, and in so far as it already has destroyed then it has left a void filled by nothing but the demand for obedience and the compulsion of the individual to what is collectively decided to be good.”
Friedrich August von Hayek, The Road to Serfdom

“Everyone is from somewhere, even if you've never been there.”
Ian Anderson

Thanks, Kat! Hope you continue to like it. More fun with prophecies to come. :)

Kat Mandu Hi Eric! I'm really enjoying Sean's Saga so far. I especially love the line Fiona says when they're in the library talking about prophecies and she goes, "This one must be about you Sean, it doesn't make any sense." I really giggled at that.
