Scott Seeke is a writer for print and screen best known for the award winning 2010 Sony film "Get Low," which starred Robert Duvall, Bill Murray and Sissy Spacek, and the follow-up book "Uncle Bush's Live Funeral." He also writes for The Lutheran Magazine and on his blog scottseeke.com.

I turned that into a fiction film called "Get Low," but I never stopped wondering about the real man and the real story. At last, I had built up enough credibility with my wife's skeptical family that they were willing to open doors, and I was finally able to learn the truth. What I found was a story of rejection and redemption so gripping that it practically wrote itself. (less)
