Brian Castle was raised in Georgia, but transplanted to Oregon in 2013. Rune & Claw is the first book he is publishing under his own name in the hopes of contributing a strong gay male hero to the Urban Fantasy genre.

Inspired by the likes of Ilona Andrews, Jim Butcher, Terry Pratchett, and Ursula K LeGuinn, Brian has been reading Fantasy and Science Fiction since he was eight years old, when he received a copy of The Hobbit from his aunt Jane. Hi Brian, First I just want to say I absolutely adored Rune and Claw (Adam Saint #1) it was one of my highlight books of 2015! October 15th was the original projected publish date. However, there were a series of unfortunate events and the initial pre-order upon which that date is based (here at Goodreads) was withdrawn. Then there were edits (late), revisions, edits, revisions... finally, the last round of edits is underway and then out it goes for public judgement; er... enjoyment. Goodreads is as much an archive as anything else, so their dates are somewhat immutable until the book is published, which should be in February. These are all copy/line edits, arguably the least daunting/crushing editorial process.

I'm excited to be done with the book and ready to start working on book three as well as another series.(less)
