Jay Cole is a writer of immense talent and insight. He lives in Vermont on a maple syrup farm with his wife of thirty-two years, Maxine, their three lovely children, Number One, Number Two, and Number Three, and his dog, Worthless. Jay Cole personally wrote this biographical blurb, and he has absolutely no shame about lying like a rug.

Be glad to help.

I think writers are susceptible to tunnel vision, too. Editing often becomes a judgement call between what you want to believe is great and what's actually good writing. Getting objective advice is sometimes the only cure.(less)

No problem. I hope you find someone who can do a good job for you.

Jay Cole Hi Andrew,

I'm not really comfortable with a review swap. While I have an eclectic reading list, I need to be certain I can do a good, honest job on a review before considering it.

Regardless, I took a look at your preview. It's interesting, but again I have to be honest, the psychological thriller is not my cup of tea. I tend much more towards humor, romantic comedy, etc. I wouldn't be able to do a good job for you. However, this might help:

Link to Amazon's Top Reviewers:
www.amazon.com/review/top-reviewers

You can click on the link to each one to find reviewers who can do a good job on your genre, and who provides contact info. I've read some books that recommend you not approach the top 100, but focus on the mid-list reviewers to get a better response. Whether that's true or not, I couldn't say, but it sounds reasonable.

I certainly appreciate your offer, but I thought you deserved an honest response.
