update

Enjoyed my time at The Book Rack on Saturday. Met some interesting people and sold a few books. I'll be adding more educational activity pages to my new website:
The Stinkaroo Dog Webpage

There are directions on the site to show you how to print the Educational Activity Pages.
One of the pages shows readers HOW TO DRAW A DOG.

Another page is a crossword puzzle:

There are other pages, like the Synonym Page, and the Scrambled Characters page and a Memory Game and a funny book quiz and a plot diagram.

Educational pages, lesson plan helps

The Stinkaroo Dog and the Forbidden Portal is a great book for reluctant readers. The large words are divided into syllables, words like, o-dor-if-er-ous, and mis-un-der-stand-ing, or pre-dic-a-ment, that might be harder to sound out.
Teachers can use the book to teach a simple lesson on plot structure for all ages. A Plot Diagram Page with literary definitions is included on the Stinkaroo Dog Webpage (thestinkaroodog.tateauthor.com).
Parents and teachers and homeschool parents will also find a Synonym Page, and other activity pages at the website. The Crossword Puzzle has a word bank for younger students.
A simple lesson on drawing a dog using a quarter is posted under the Art Pages.
Visit the webpage and find more resources to use The Stinkaroo Dog and the Forbidden Portal by Lea Beall The Stinkaroo Dog for your next Art or Language Arts lesson.
