Sometimes I'll stop writing and go do something else, maybe read or clean or anything to change my thought path.

Another thing I do is listen to music. Usually sad songs. Sometimes I can hear a song that will create a person or story in my mind. I think of how the lyrics tell a story and who that story may be about. I capture that feeling.(less)
