I love challenging myself to read a certain number of books or pages or types, etc. Anyway, this one has a fun feature that I haven't seen before - community interaction. In addition to connecting readers, this readathon also encourages people to read the books that have been on their T

M. Verne Thanks for Friending - You are quite the reader. Is the part of the duties as a professor, or did you become a professor due to your reading? I suspect that's probably a the case. What kind of things do you have to do in Library Sciences these days?

message 1: by Mark

Mark I know, my pictures are woefully absent. I wrote to Claudia that I might just take a picture of my shelves and use that, like she did. I did those other features -- very neat! I'll have to play around with those as I add some more books.

I think this might be a great way to keep tabs on the students' outside reading -- it's just so easy to sign up and get started! I saw Claudia today at OWP, and she said she's considering using this with her students as well -- could make for a good way for the two groups to communicate, don't you think?
