Jerry has a BA in Journalism and after 10 years returned to school to study law. He is also an award winning artist and painted the cover art to this book. He grew up in the small town of Payette, Idaho where the Snake River forms the border between Idaho and Oregon. While working as an advertising executive in Chicago he would escape the city life by spending as much time as possible at the Orland Park Forest Preserve near the city. Turnipseed grew into these stories from his memories of the Forest Preserve.

Through New Orleans one son is set up by his uncle as a hardware drummer and heads west. Yes, it is fiction to a point and is based upon my great grandfather.(less)
