One of the things I loved about your book is that your approach is more or less to not to trust until he gives you a reason to trust. Have you received any backlash to that approach as it goes against the traditional approach to dating of giving the benefit of the doubt, trust until he gives you a reason not to, etc?

Regarding your question, I have head a couple of comments on whether it is too "sneaky" to test a man, and draw him out on his true intentions. I've spoken to a number of women's groups and this has come up a couple of times. I think that it's human nature to want to trust someone, but I feel it's process, and matter of degree. We need to build trust as we go along in a relationship. I feel strongly that a man must earn that trust, and that "spy skills," or people skills, help a woman see him more clearly. Do you agree?
