Have you visited or lived in Alaska as your presentation of the "town" of North Pole has changed my opinion of Alaska? As a New Yorker (just outside NYC), I have dealt with my share of cold and snow but As long as I have a good roof over my head, stocked pantry, access to the internet to connect to others and friendly neighbors to share my personal library with, I am fine.

Thank you for the note and question. I do live in Alaska and while the North Pole of my books is different from the actual town of North Pole, Alaska there are other towns that are very similar. Yes, there is cold and snow, but there is also internet, books store and people. You can choose to live where there isn't and a lot of people do. But many also choose to join or start small, lovely communities like my imaginary North Pole.(less)
