Yes, there is such a thing. When I experience the inability to be creative, I walk my dogs or meditate. I compare it to a Bad Hair Day. Sometimes, there is nothing we can do about it. Evidently the Writing Gods are taking a break. Therefore, I take a break, too. After all, you can't force creativity. If the flow isn't there, it's just not going to happen. However, when the sweet writing energy comes back, I write until my fingers fall off. (less)

When I read reviews or see that four and five stars have been given for my work, it is the best feeling in the world to know that I have caused my readers to smile, ponder, cry and cheer for the characters. Yes, writers have to take the good with the bad. Not everybody is going to like my work or my writing style, but those who do, make up for the small amount who don't. Besides, I can always learn from a bad review. It only gives me a reason to write better.(less)
