Angel's Body is now with the editor, so it's time to make a start on Angel's Demon while I'm waiting. No rest for the wicked, as the saying goes.
Putting some finishing touches on the fourth book in the Angel Series -- Angel's Body -- then it's off to the editor it goes.
Just added the book trailer for Twisted Poems of a Warped Mind to Goodreads. I still think Angel's Messiah is the best book trailer I've made so far ... it's definitely going to be hard to beat!
Lucy Vampoosy (The Little Vampire Dog) has gone for walkies to the editor. Yay for her! I hope she comes back clean and smelling of freshly shampooed dog :-)
A lot of people have been crying when reading my second book--Angel's Curse. Some have mentioned it in reviews, some have messaged me and others have told me in person. They are not alone. I cried while writing the whole scene in question. The number of typos I made because the tears were blurring my vision was staggering ... and then I cried again when proofing it, fixing my typos and taking in editorial changes. There may be more tears ahead in the rest of the series ...
Preparing for Supanova Melbourne. Book trailer one — Angel’s Kiss — up and running on YouTube and on my goodreads profile.
Call me crazy, but I'm undertaking a 1000 books challenge. I was going to post this last Friday, but as it was April Fool's day I didn't think anyone would take me seriously. I'm really interested to see if this will take off or fall flat. Anyway it's worth a share or two, just for a laugh.
Emailed Angel's Messiah to my editor this morning. Book three in the Angel Series is almost complete. Feeling happy :-)
Here's the opening of a new project I'm working on, which is a spin-off of the Angel Series:Another hourglass broken. Another wasted life.
Father Time extracted a small dust pan and brush from one of the many pockets of his voluminous robe. He carefully swept up the old wooden frame, broken glass and blackened sand that had scattered across the floor. He didn't want to think about what might happen if he missed even the tiniest grain of the black sand. The hourglass had once been filled with pure sand, warm and golden in colour. Then the blackness had devoured it and the taint was permanent. It contained an infection that would spread if not dealt with swiftly.
“Helena, my name is Madeline, but you can call me Maddy,” the woman said. “I’m a clinical psychologist. Some people call me Mad!”-- Angel's Curse
