Anne Perreault was born and raised in Germany. Her family moved to a very obscure city in the Middle East by the name of Dubai, where she spent the next ten years on and off. During this time, she discovered her passion for ice skating, trained, rode, and fell off high spirited Arabian horses, and collected an assortment of stray cats that found their way into their yard. She attended an American boarding school in Austria. After graduating, she moved to England for a year to start her college education. After meeting her husband, she moved to the US and finished her undergraduate degree in Biology in NH. The couple married and moved to CT to start a family. And as the thoughts began to marinate in my mind, I did a search on thoroughbred racing here in the States. One of my favorite books that I read to my kids was Marguerite Henry's 'King of the Wind'. I've never forgotten the story of Sham and his pal, Grimalkin. And since I'm super partial to Arabs, the story just exploded in my head. It's really important to me that the romance isn't front and center. The character's relationship with God has to be. So... 'The Way Home' was born.(less)

Their writing helps me get out of my own head and calms me down, allowing me to focus back on my own work. I also do a lot of praying and reading scriptures. That usually gives me direction.(less)

Finally, The Promise

When I finished writing The Blessing, I was hoping people would trust me enough to wait for the third book to come out after the ending of book 2.

Would I leave my readers hanging there?

No! What kind of author would do that?

I loved writing The Promise. It is a departure from everything normal for me. I experimented a little here, added a little color there, used a lot of backspacing and changing. Read more of this blog post »

“So, you see, you're not the only ones who have lost someone. War doesn't discriminate, Petra. We'll all have to deal with the scars. It's easier to handle when you know you're not alone and that your sins are forgiven.”
Anne Perreault, Defending My Father's House

“She gulped the air, suddenly starving for it.
He wasn't built like Hercules. Instead, his muscles were chiseled as if by a master sculptor with a finesse that left her reaching for the door frame to steady herself.”
Anne Perreault, The Blessing

“Well, hello there. And welcome. You must be the German gal.”
I nodded, still not trusting myself to speak.
“It's nice to meet you,” she said in a loud voice.
“She's German, not deaf,” Henry murmured. “This is Mrs. Price. She takes care of the staff.”
Anne Perreault, Leaving My Father's House

Anne Perreault, The Blessing

“If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again. Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer.”
Ronie Kendig, Digitalis

“Loving a warrior is hard. Dying in the line of duty is an honor to them. They would rather take that road than to dishonor their sacred oath”
Ronie Kendig, Hawk

“I've prayed night and day for God to lead me, guide me, to make me stronger and prepare me. Yet, I am tormented with memories, suffer debilitating flashbacks, and now-now my father is killed. And you're gong to stand there and tell me it's God's will? Why should I pray? It hasn't done me much good." Yitshak drew back, he brow again knotted. "What? You think praying is supposed to make life easier? If the great I Am answers your prayers, it is not to make life easier, but to prepare you to handle more!”
Ronie Kendig, Digitalis
