Life seems to have come together and the twins are growing up in the peace of the western Minnesota farmland. Jesse Jaines and Paul Gassert are back in Washington DC until they get assigned a case which allows Jesse to visit Lynn. That night, the twins are kidnapped from their bedroom by the same method as the previous years cases.
