Great ideas and inspiration are often hard to come by, but you plow through anyway to keep the wolves at bay. This fast-paced, 'thinking outside the box' environment doesn't allow for writer's block. If an idea is bad, it gets discarded and you quickly move on. I applied the same approach when writing my first novel. There's nothing like sta…moreFor me, the creative process is an adventure. Every story is like going into an undiscovered country and uncharted territory. There's nothing like starting with a clean sheet of paper and seeing how a story and characters will unfold. It's fun, too, to work at improving your craft. A lot of what I write goes into the garbage, but every once in awhile you hit it out of the park with a description, or a bit of dialog, or a plot twist, that you know will delight and intrigue the reader.(less)
