Michelle Birkby has always loved crime stories, and read her first Sherlock Holmes book when she was thirteen. She was given a beautiful collection of all the short stories and has been hooked with the wonderful, gas-lit, atmospheric world of crime and adventure ever since. A few years ago Michelle was re-reading The Empty House and a blurred figure in the background suddenly came into focus. It became clear to her that Mrs Hudson was much more than a housekeeper to 221b and she'd always been fascinated by Mary Watson's character. Hi

So, what am I doing right now? Well, right now I’m considering watching Fleabag episode 3, but if you mean writing wise....

Well, I’m working on a Blitz novel - it’s a thrilling, and yet very dark time, one that saw a lot of change. It’s an exciting time to write in.

I’ve got a third Mrs Hudson and Mary Watson novel pretty much done.

Anna Alice Gregory answered Jen's question: Thank you Mam for your answer ,i will be waiting for your books,i was a bit restless reading the line, I love Mary Watson and the way you showed her I just fell in love with her even more ,though I will be a little honest here I was heartbroken ,but you captured her life so beautifully,Mam I have a question if you don't mind will we get the tragic event in future,is it related to her brave nature,selfless nature? I fell in love with her too! Yes, it is a very brave act by her, one that saves lives. It’s rather devastating but also rather wonderful of her, though it breaks everyone’s heart. I really hope everyone can read it one day!
