Amelia Doherty is a fifteen-year-old poet based in Manchester, England.

She currently holds the world record for the number of anthologies written by someone under the age of nineteen with twelve poetry anthologies. Along with this twelve, of which the first was published in December 2014, she has been featured in a further two ('War and Peace: An Anthology' and 'Immersed in Words').

Her award-winning work was first recognised in 2015, when she was commended in the Greys Court Palimpsest Poetry Chalkenge, a national award run by the Young Poets' Network and The National Trust for poets under the age of twenty-five. Her winning poem, 'The History House', was shown in the Oxfordshire property Greys Court in 2015.

There's a lot of amazing worlds (and well-written but not-so-amazing worlds that I wouldn't want to find myself in). I think I'm going to go with the flow here and say that I'd go to Hogwarts. Honestly, I'd just enjoy learning and I'd probably spend my time conversing with the ghosts (especially Professor Binns because, despite what Harry says, I bet History of Magic is super interesting).(less)
