Rob Griffith is currently writing a history of the 5th (Rifle) Battalion of the 60th Foot for Helion Publishing. He's a member of the Napoleonic Association, the Society for Army Historical Research and of the 5th/60th Rifles reenactment group. He grew up reading C.S Forester, Dudley Pope, Bernard Cornwell and George MacDonald-Fraser. Rob's own historical fiction series follows the career of soldier and spy Ben Blackthorne through the Napoleonic wars. Under the influence of women, drink or, more often than not, both, Ben finds himself embroiled in missions at the heart of the fight against Napoleon.
