Ika Vihara merupakan lulusan Fakultas Teknologi Elektro dan Komputer Cerdas, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya, yang terus berusaha menaikkan romance genre satu level lebih tinggi. Dalam buku-bukunya, Ika Vihara menggabungkan romansa yang manis, romantis, dan realistis; dengan STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics yang logis dan kesehatan mental.

Pada tahun 2021, novel karya Ika Vihara yang berjudul Sepasang Sepatu Untuk Ava memenangkan kompetisi The Watty’s Award kategori Romance. Dua cerita pendek terbaiknya, Sebaik-baik Pelajaran dan Sebaik-baik Manusia, masing-masing menjadi juara pertama pada Lomba Teman Tulis 2021 dan 2022.
