Alexander Lawrence is a Bible-thumping lay scholar on a mission to prepare disciples of Y'shua (Jesus) for the last days. Some very strange and unexpected things are headed down the pike—things which will shake even the strongest believers to the core—and the church at large is woefully unprepared to deal with them. Alexander makes a living as a digital artist. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University in 2004.

In his free time, Alexander enjoys reading, backpacking, weight-lifting, winning at racquetball, going to wine tastings, attending concerts, and playing various sorts of games. He plays the guitar, piano,

Off the cuff, I'd say that it could be symbolic of the mystery priests and high-level occultists of all sorts. The cockatrice is a combination of bird and viper, which are representative of divinity and earthly (Satanic) wisdom, respectively. Isaiah says that the cockatrice comes forth from the serpent's root, which I suspect may stand for lying knowledge, or so-called gnosis. The kind of "creature" which arises from gnosis is the true occultist, who believes that he is discovering and unleashing his inner divinity through the rebirth into sacred knowledge.

As far as the orchard aspect, anything I offered would be wild speculation. Maybe these cockatrices are the keepers of the fruit of esoteric knowledge?(less)
