When I was about 8 years old, I started writing my first works, mostly poems about animals or short stories. I loved to read and decided that I wanted to become a "real writer" when I grew up. My great-grandmother was my greatest inspiration at one point and I won some books in the Junior Journalist Competition for my rendition of her story. I would still love to write a book about somewhere in the future.

After a rather long hiatus during secondary school, I started writing again after I went to Ghent University, where I now study English and German Literature and Linguistics.
