These days the barriers to entry are so low. Anybody can start writing and get access to readers via Amazon (ebooks and print on demand services). Yes, the market is ALWAYS saturated. Yes, there are a load of poorly written books out there. Yes, it's difficult to get heard. But, nobody owes you a living.

I love writing (especially as in independently published author) because I have complete control over what I do with my content. I decide what it's called, I decide what goes in the book, I decide the price, marketing, print, ebook or both... everything! There's a lot to learn and I love learning.(less)
