The confirmation of my efforts from readers positive and emotional reaction to the story is the applause that all artists appreciate. It confirms that you have captured something magical and universal that touches an aspect of the human experience.(less)

I did not start out writing as a commercial enterprise and felt no time urgency to complete my manuscript. The pressure I felt was more the relentless voices and characters that demanded direction and the need to tell the story. Normally I am able to resolve conflict or problems whether personal, financial or creative by literally taking the matter to bed with me. In most instances by allowing my subconscious mind to explore options/alternatives I can find a path to a reasonable solution and also a restful night's sleep. (less)

“The important thing in life is not triumph, but the struggle; the essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.”

“The important thing in life is not triumph, but the struggle; the essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.”

“Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.”
Winston S. Churchill

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Steve Jobs
