FALL OFFICE TOUR

Hello loves! As Autumn comes to a close (haha, Autumn actually ends December 21st… but we’re all just a little obsessed with winter), I figured I’d show you my Fall office decor before it becomes untrendy! I absolutely love decorating for the holidays, especially during Fall and Winter time. The cool thing is, I don’t really ever have to go overboard on decor because I love to keep my house neutral year round. That way, whenever holidays come around, I can just buy and DIY little things that help get me more in the mood, without having to spend money completely redecorating each season.

You can find a lot of the DIYs in this blog post on my youtube channel. I did a full DIY Fall decor video and had SO much fun creating everything from hanging fall leaf mobiles to adorable pinecone and candle holders.

I hope you enjoy getting into the fall aesthetic! I’ll link some of my favorite products in my office in this post!

Industrial Storage Modular Desk: West Elm http://rstyle.me/~aaFcd

Bassett Inspired Tufted Desk Chair: Office Star http://rstyle.me/~aaFcx

Imac 27 Inch Retina Display: Apple http://rstyle.me/~aaFcD

New York City 8×10 print: Urban Outfitters http://rstyle.me/~aaFcR

Lafco Powder Room Diffuser: Lafco http://rstyle.me/~aaFdc

Marble Office Pillow: http://rstyle.me/~aaFfg

Blue Velvet Tufted Chaise: Houzz Similar – http://rstyle.me/~aaFfJ

I hope you enjoyed this preview into my office as of now! I think I’ll leave it like this through the winter. My office doesn’t really change through the seasons too much! It’s more the living room and bedroom that get all of the decor attention. I just finished my bedroom for winter and shot some photos, so let me know if you’d like a winter bedroom tour soon! I’m so happy with how It turned out. Until then, stay warm!

xoxo,

Eva

The Perfect Fall Date, And What You Need To Wear!

Now that it’s officially Fall, are you looking for a Fall date idea to try? Or maybe you’re totally single and just looking for a fun idea for a girl’s trip, a birthday, or just an “i-need-to-treat-myself-because-im-awesome” date! Here’s a fun date Idea that I’d highly recommend for Fall, especially if you live somewhere where Fall leaves bloom (aka not Southern California, but you know, I made do).

In life, I try to do as many “bucket list” things as I can. Everything from the big things, like swimming with sharks, to the small things; sleeping under the stars, I try to live each day completing at least one. Hot air balloons have always been one of the big things for me. It’s something that living In Southern California doesn’t exactly make available. You usually have to fly or drive reeeeally far to find a space open for hot air balloon flying! So for my birthday, I decided to drive up to Napa valley which is about six hours from my house. It’s this super beautiful spot in the middle of California where all the good wine is made, so theres tons of gorgeous vineyards to explore.

Adam planned the majority of my birthday trip, since I planned his, and one of the things he surprised me with was a hot air balloon trip. It was absolutely amazing, and a little bit scary. The funny thing is for the past two years, I’ve fallen in love with taking open door helicopter trips, where you’re zipping literally 150 miles per hour, weaving between major skyscrapers, and yet I never got queasy until I found myself in a hot air balloon basket, going at a brisk three miles per hour. No joke, my stomach was actually turning. Here I am, just literally hovering in the sky by a damn balloon. It’s actually magic. Once we touched down to land again, we got to play around in the field while we watched our massive balloon deflate right behind us. It made the coolest backdrops for photos, and you can clearly see how huge the balloon really was. It’s a much different perspective when it’s filled with air, holding you up in the sky, to when it’s crashing down on the ground as air leaves it. Adam and I took a few quick photos In the field and then moved on to a nearby restaurant, where we finished with a morning mimosa and hopped in our car to journey some 300 miles all the way home.

Hot air balloons usually start early in the morning. Ours started at around 5 am! You might obviously feel the need to bundle up hardcore in the morning, but trust me, it gets hot in the balloon. The hot air balloon company told me that it get’s usually around 90 degrees in the air! Luckily, I wore the perfect cosy dress from It’s All Wild to keep me warm in the early morning, but still the right temperature when we got up in that hot balloon. I paired my little white dress with some Soludos mule slides because they’re the easiest shoes to pair with anything and you always look cute in them. Everything I wore is linked below!

What I Wore:

Dress: It’s All Wild Over Everything Dress in Snowball https://itsallwild.com/products/over-everything-dress-snowball-pre-order

Shoes: Soludos Slides http://rstyle.me/~a6mf7

Hope you enjoy your next Fall date experience! Even if it’s just with your family

What To Do During A Layover In Barcelona

Whenever I travel, I can’t just go to one place and be satisfied. If I’m going to fly halfway across the globe, I’m going to try as hard as I can to see as much as possible! That’s why whenever I’m heading to one specific place, I don’t necessarily mind spending a long layover somewhere random. It’s fun for me! Last month I decided to take a Mediterranean cruise for Adam’s birthday. It was my first time on a cruise and it was absolutely amazing, but that experience is for a different blog post. The cruise embarked in Barcelona, so I spent a day in Barcelona, Spain, before heading out to sea. Barcelona is actually the first place I ever flew to internationally and I went all by myself back in college! It was really cool to come back and see how the city, and myself, had changed over the years. I know a lot of people only get a good week out of the year to travel and they want to see as much as possible on their trip, so I put together this list of the top things I organized for myself, when I only had one good day in the city. Here’s what to do with only 8 hours in the beautiful city of Barcelona.

Explore The Streets Of Gothic Quarter: 7am – 10am

I stayed in Gothic Quarter for this quick trip to Barcelona. I generally like to be in uncrowded environments, and I knew I wanted historical and tiny streets to meander through. Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter is not uncrowded (particularly during the later hours in the day), however if you venture out any time before 10 am, you’ll find yourself cruising through some of the most beautiful and authentic alleyways with only a few morning bird travelers. If you’re like me, you want to wake up as early as possible to get your day started when in Europe. Gothic Quarter is the best place to wake up in Barcelona if you’re looking for a true historical European morning, sans large streets and big crowds. Even in the middle of July- a peak season for European travel, you can get lucky and find completely empty streets in GQ!

La Rambla: 10am – 11:30am

La Rambla; an absolutely beautiful street in Barcelona where tons of travelers walk up and down to shop, take in sights and eat all types of food. There’s tons of flower shops, restaurants and souvenirs. It’s definitely something to see on your list in Barcelona! However, don’t get caught up here all day. There’s tons of sights to see that are a quick walking distance from Las Ramblas. Stop by the street for gelato and take a walk through the alleys of Gothic Quarter for good shopping.

Amorino’s: 11:30am – 12pm

You can find an Amorino’s in tons of European and Mediterranean countries, but Amorino’s on La Rambla is a must if you are in the area. It’s always buzzing with customers! Even if Amorino’s is a chain, the thing that makes it so unique is the flower shape of the gelato, which you just can’t find in most places. If you want to take your quintessential gelato picture to the next level, Amorino’s is the place to stop. Go into the alley to the right of Amorino’s and take that gelato-with-european-alley-in-background photo, because you deserve it.

Gothic Cathedral: 12pm – 1pm

With just a quick (and gorgeous) walk from Amorino’s, you’ll find yourself at the Gothic Cathedral. If you don’t have time to make it up to the Sagrada Familia, this is just as satisfying! Spend an hour in this cosy nook of GQ enjoying street dancers, a community of high-on-life tourists, performers blowing bubbles up into the sky and the sweet smells of Nutella churros floating through the air.

Rosé Break: 12pm – 1pm

Of course, when in any spot in Europe, you must indulge in an afternoon drink, whether it’s a latte, wine, rosé or even water! My favorite part of traveling is honestly just taking a moment to sit down in the patio of  a nice restaurant and take in the sights around me with the people I care about the most. Adam and I went crazy on the amount of Rosé we drank in Europe, but who could blame us with a seat of the Gothic Cathedral right in front of us! I always make sure to spend tons of time scoping out my restaurant locations before I visit the country, so I know exactly what drinks I want, and what photos I want to take there, honestly!

Horta Labyrinth: 1pm – 3pm

You could choose many routes to end your day in Barcelona. The last time I was in Barcelona, I went to the plaza and did some hardcore shopping at all four of the H&M’s by La Sagrada Familia. This time, I decided to take it easier and visit a quiet Pinterest destination I’d had my eye on; The Horta Labyrinth. This is a quiet beauty of Barcelona. It’s a massive landscaped park to stroll in, where you can enjoy the still and calming sounds of Barcelona away from the city. There’s everything here from labyrinths, to creeks filled with koi fish, to even giant wild boar/pig things wandering around!

So this is my personal day trip outline for a quick layover in Barcelona, Spain! This is just ONE of the many things you could choose to do in Barcelona, but it’s what I most recently did and I had so much fun exploring a new side of the city, other than just the plaza area! If you’ve been to Barcelona, comment below what your favorite thing to do there is. My next trip to Barcelona will include finally seeing the beach and visiting Park Güell. There truly is so much to see in Barcelona, the adventure is never over!

What To Do During Fall In Hawaii! September, October and November in Kauai and Oahu

If you know me well, and by well I mean *at all*, you know that Hawaii is my favorite place. Point blank, Hawaii makes me the happiest little fish in the sea. Hawaii makes me happier than I’ve ever felt, and every time I go, I feel like I’m returning home. It’s crazy because even though I was born in So Cal, I always felt like I was supposed to be in Hawaii, even before I even really knew what Hawaii was. The first time I ever went to Hawaii had me hooked, and of course, I haven’t been able to stop returning. Someday I’ll move there, I’m just waiting on the right time- but maybe the right time is now, and I just have to do it.

One of the best and busiest times to visit Hawaii is in the fall, when big surf is in full swing. There’s tons of competitions to see, especially on Oahu. There’s also TONS of whales, especially in Maui, so if you love whale watching, November in Maui is the place for you. This particular trip I spent on land, so I’ll be going through all the top things to do when living like a local on the islands. Here’s some of my favorite moments for you to recreate last November on Kauai and Oahu!

Secret Beaches:

It’s not hard to stumble upon a “secret” beach if you’re adventurous. Just pull over to the side of the road by the ocean and hike down some curly branches like a monkey, and you’ll probably find yourself on your own little 10 ft patch of a sandy beach. Climb a palm tree and hang out there for the best view of the tiger sharks swimming in the cove…just kidding. Maybe.

Dangerously Take Photos In The Road:

JUST KIDDING. Definitely don’t do this and get hit. Occasionally you may find yourself driving through the most magical canopy of trees, especially In Kauai. One of the best ways to enjoy the view is to lay in the bed of a truck and look up, and watch as the canopy zips past you as you pretend you’re a character in a John Green book. If you find yourself without a truck, you could always be VERY CAREFUL and snap a quick pic in the road. Just don’t be annoying. Locals get mad at you if you’re in the street when they’re trying to drive! Wait for a respectful patch of emptiness.

Cold Pond:

If you’re driving down to Na Pali entrance (Kauai, you may see a few trucks parked on the side of the road, and a towel swung casually over a yellow sign. Pull over, and you might just find yourself at the Cold Pond. If you’re looking for the exact location, I totally can’t pinpoint where it is to an address, but I guess that’s part of the fun of seeking it out for yourself, so the Cold Pond stays a little mysterious. It’s almost always been empty when I go! The cold pond is the perfect place to cool off on a hot day and rinse off after a day full of surfing.

Wet Cave:

The Waiakanaloa Wet Cave in Kauai is a sight to see. It’s eerily beautiful and you just can’t help but wonder what’s behind the walls, right beyond the cave entrance. I got this photo using a slow shutter in pitch black darkness at night, but I wouldn’t recommend this because this place is suuuuper haunted by ancient spirits and it’s best to respect them if you aren’t with the right people. *makes scary ghost noises*

Beach Day:

It’s totally necessary to indulge in a lazy beach day multiple times during your trip to Hawaii. Enjoy what Hawaii has to offer that isn’t on the main tourist websites! Take a day to drive down a jungle street you don’t know, stop at a small coconut water shack, enjoy the journey and end up on an uncrowded local beach that you can just grab a towel and take a mid-day nap on. The art of relaxing is something to give in to, and the beach is the perfect place to start.

Take A Helicopter Ride:

I’ve gotten to take two helicopter rides while in Hawaii; one in Maui and one in Oahu. Both times you get incredibly different experiences, and both are 1000% worth it. Oahu was actually my first helicopter ride ever, and I did it with closed doors. After that, I started doing open door helicopters (yes, the ones you can dangle your feet out of), and I’ll never go back. The experience is way more immersive when you get to see the world behind a glass panel, and feel the wind on your toes. I think it’s honestly the best way to really see any destination you go to, from an angle not many ever get to experience.

Go Surfing:

Okay, surfing isn’t easy. It’s actually the hardest sport I’ve ever attempted, and I grew up playing every* sport. It requires expert balance, knowledge of the ocean, and a whole lot of courage, if anything. But the perfect way to really feel what the ocean is all about is to duck dive right in (literally) and see what mighty power she holds. It’s humbling to surf, even if you can’t stand up, and it turns even the oldest person into a child again, which is pretty cool.

Get An Acai or Papaya Bowl:

One of the best things about Hawaii is the amount of care that goes into living naturally. By just taking a ride down the road, you’re bound to stumble upon tiny shacks selling local goods. My favorite little shack is The Sunrise Shack, located on North Shore of Oahu, right by Sunset beach. It sells a ton of superfood charged coffee, great papaya bowls and more tasty goods! Definitely worth stopping by and saying hi to my friends if they’re there! The place is all good vibes.

Visit the Wings:

And finally, the number one thing you must* do if you’re in Oahu, is visit the iconic angel wings! Located in North Shore, this is a total must to hit and get your photo for Instagram. There’s another pair of wings in Los Angeles, but it’s just not as fun as this experience of being barefoot and bathing-suit clad, with an acai bowl in hand, experiencing your highest point in life on the beach! Once again, good vibes all around.

So that is my ultimate blog post on all my favorite things to do in Hawaii during September, October and November! Hawaii truly is a Disneyland for the ultimate adventurer. It’s one of the most beautiful places on earth! If you ever get a chance to go, let me know if you end up doing something on this list, and if you’ve already been, did you do the same things? Anything new?

I’d love to know!

Until next time,

Eva

What I Wore : Sunday Brunch At Zinc Cafe

One of my favorite new spots to eat breakfast is Zinc Cafe in Downtown Los Angeles. It’s open super early and serves breakfast until brunch time! I love going there with Hanalei since it’s pet friendly, and theres tons of dogs that love to lay outside on the patio and soak up the sun. The mimosas come in little test tubes and the lattes are always tasty! It’s a pretty aesthetic brunch spot, so of course every time I go I have to dress a bit *extra*, you know, just to match the fact that I’m going out for brunch like a real adult.

Here’s what I wore!

Sunglasses: DBlanc Womens

Jewelry: Cartier/Nordstroms

Dress: PrettyLittleThing

Bag and Shoes: Soludos

I’ve been LOVING all white lately, especially when it’s so hot outside nearing the end of Summer. The absolutely adorable tassels on my Soludos bag and shoes make this outfit the perfect amount of whimsical boho! I love how these sunglasses have an orange reflection in the sun. Pops of color are key when wearing all white, and this outfit is a total hit.

I promise I’m not as sassy as my face was in these photos. I’m just really feeling this look! Comment below your favorite breakfast food!

Eva

What I Wore: Ed Sheeran Concert!

I got to experience one of my absolute favorite artists a few weeks ago; Ed Sheeran! I can honestly say he sounds better live than he does on the radio- which I didn’t even know could be possible. He’s amazing, and he probably has the best voice I’ve ever heard live. I got to go with the Savage squad and even brought my mom! Unfortunately when we got to the concert, none of our seats were together, so Adam and I were forced to sit by ourselves while my mom partied with the savage without me (lol!). Adam and I danced our butts off and had the best time, just him and I, even though we were isolated from the group. If you ever get the chance to see Ed Sheeran live, go. Like seriously, empty your savings and buy the ticket, because his voice is like a baby angel singing to Jesus on a snowy Christmas morning… which I’ve never experienced, ya know, but I’m sure it’s just like it. Take my word.

This is what I wore to the concert! I don’t go to concerts often, but my mom insisted that if you attend a concert, you have to dress “glam”. Wise words from mama Gutowski. I decided to pull some of my favorite glam pieces out of my closet and pair them with comfortable and livable classics, so I would look glam but be able to dance the night away without worrying about my outfit. If you notice, I’m wearing the new Maya Shorts from my brand It’s All Wild. I designed the Maya shorts after searching for literal years for the perfect pair of high waisted shorts. I could never find them in a store anywhere! Finally, I stumbled across a vintage pair of high waisted jeans and cut them into shorts that fit me perfectly. I wore them everywhere. Every time someone would ask me where they could get a pair too, I told them I had DIY’ed them and that they were one of a kind! Finally when deciding what pieces made it into the It’s All Wild collection, I decided I had to make my DIY shorts available for everyone, so we designed them for more people! They literally go with everything and high-key, I haven’t washed them in weeks. I designed them to be super high waisted and fit to wear like the perfect Insta goals photo. They’re lightly frayed at the hems and the back pockets sit amazingly to make that booty POP! The link to purchase my shorts is below

How I Found and Trained My Service Dog!

Four months ago today, I brought Hanalei, my golden retriever, into my life. From the very beginning, I looked forward to training her to become an active service dog for me! It was exciting, getting to work with a dog of my own from their puppyhood to shape them into a companion that could be there for me when I had no one else to help. It’s been four months into Hanalei’s training, and she’s doing amazing. I get questions every day about her being a service dog, so I figured now that she has completed basic training and is working towards completing public access training, it would be the perfect time to do a Q and A for anyone wondering about getting a service dog for themselves, or just wondering about Hanalei and I! Please enjoy this fun and verrrry educational Q and A on the most common questions I get asked about Hanalei!

Mornings with her

Q: Why do you need a service dog?

A: Personally for me, I’ve been dealing with anxiety, panic attacks and acute claustrophobia since as long as I can remember. Bad anxiety leads to panic attacks, lots of which have been so extreme that they’ve led me to blacking out in public spaces. Having anxiety and claustrophobia makes it extremely difficult to do basic and essential activities, like for example; shopping for groceries, grabbing the mail and even the most simple tasks, like answering the front door or even showering. It can feel like sometimes  you have to push yourself to do the most simplest of things. Because of the struggle to basic things, lots of people with anxiety and public phobias fall easily susceptible to depression. It’s easy to become depressed when you are alone, with no one to help you keep on top of things that your disability hinders! That was me last year.

Lucky for me, I’ve been blessed with Adam, who honestly saved my life by getting me on top of things again. We live together, which inspires me to wake up earlier and get my errands done since he’s always by my side. It’s hard to explain, but without him around, Its like I instantly revert back to not being able to function. It’s not that he’s my boyfriend and I depend on his company, it’s that I depend on company in general to keep my head in the right state of mind. Slipping into my own thoughts brings me anxiety almost immediately, and having someone else around, even my mom, helps me get stuff done I just can’t do when Im alone. Keeping my mind off anxiety helps me live most of my life in a tolerable state of peace.

But I don’t always have someone with me. Driving in the car alone, running simple errands, taking business trips to different states alone, my family and Adam being out of town and more are things I have to inevitably endure. So when I don’t have the luxury of dragging Adam around with me all the time, I will eventually take Hanalei. She is working every day to be trained to not just be my dog, but my best friend and my service companion. Not only will she be with me as emotional support when I need something to keep my mind focused on, but she will be trained to help me in the midst of an attack when Adam or my family aren’t around.

Anxiety is hard to understand, and that is why anxiety awareness is something very important to me. Having anxiety and dealing with an anxiety disorder/depression has to do with an involuntary chemical imbalance, and it is not the same thing as “getting anxious”. It is not something that can simply be fixed with “being happier” (whatever that means), and “learning to control your brain”. It requires regular therapy and medication. It is something that I’ve dealt with since I was 6 years old, and I wouldn’t wish for anyone to feel the challenges I go through every day without people even knowing. Hanalei understands me unconditionally, and she is trained to immediately respond to do just what I need, which a lot of humans can’t do as fast for me, even if we both understand English! Dogs really are remarkable.

Q: So, you can get a service dog for more things than blindness?

A: Yes! Service dogs can help assist people in so so so many different ways.  It’s a total misconception that service dogs are only limited to seeing eye dogs! Whenever I go out in public with Hanalei, while she is training or working, I get asked the common question “so, is she going to help a blind person?”. Service dogs are able to help with any disability, depending on what they are trained to do. It all comes down to training.  Some service dogs become seeing eye dogs, some become diabetic medial alert, some become anxiety alert and more, amongst literally hundreds more of ways a dog can be trained!

Q: How do I know If I need a service dog, versus an emotional support dog (ESA) or therapy dog?

A: Research! Research and speaking to your doctor is key when it comes to deciding if a furry companion can help you live life easier. Sometimes a dog can make your life worse! I know right? How could a furry friend make life worse? Puppies are a lot of hard work, and having a service dog can be stressful, explaining your rights constantly to unaware store owners. Be prepared to do lots and lots of explaining. The way I really determined if a service dog could actually benefit me was to look up specifically what service dogs have been trained to do for people dealing with mental disability. I went down an extensive list and wrote down everything I’d want my dog to help me accomplish. The list I used was super helpful, and you can find it here.

If you know a solid list of 5 or more tasks that you need assistance with, and are ready to be extremely dedicated to taking training seriously to get your dog to where they need to be to properly assist, a service dog may be for you! If you don’t really need assistance with anything other than emotional assistance, having an ESA is the better option, especially for things like plane flight anxiety. You need a doctors note to sign off on your ESA, and it is important to bring this to the airport with you when flying with your ESA.

Processed with VSCO with c8 preset

Q: Where do I get a service dog and how do I train to have a dog become one?

A: Both answers depend on the level of training your dog will need to assist a disability. Each task requires a long period of time to completely nail down, until you can fully depend on the dog. This is crucial, especially if your service dog will be a seeing eye dog, physical disability dog. Based off my research going into getting a service dog, I’m  going to say you can get a service dog many ways, but the most common are 1.; starting from puppyhood and working with a trainer to develop your tasks personally, and 2.; getting a service dog from a training  center specifically for adopting pre-trained service dogs. I did the first option. Of course, you can always train your current dog to become a service dog at any point in their life, but It is much easier to make sure your dog is cut out for the necessary level of discipline if they are already performing tasks since birth. Also, there are certain breeds that are easier to train to complete service dog tasks, like labs and goldens. You can find a list of the most common service dog breeds with a quick google search.

Q: How long does it take to train a service dog?

A: I read that it takes an average of 11 months to fully train a service dog. I have no idea If this is fact, but it does make sense to me. I’ve been training Hanalei since she was 2 months old. She’s now 6 months and behaves beautifully, and even knows some of her service dog tasks. However she still has a lot of growing to do, not only as a service dog, but a puppy! She’s still just a baby getting to know the world, and even though she is a trained service dog, we still have a lot to work on, like perfecting her tasks in public! I anticipate she will be fully trained on her current tasks in six more months, and of course, new tasks will take longer. While Hanalei is still perfecting her tasks, I generally only take her to pet friendly restaurants and environments to practice in public until she earns her right into service dog only environments.

Processed with VSCO with c4 preset

Q: Does Hanalei still get to play and be a normal dog?!

A: Of course! Hanalei is still a dog, even if she helps me with tasks like a human would. She swims in the pool, gathers the biggest sticks she can find, gets way too excited when she touches a sandy beach and occasionally eats my cat’s poops and throws it up minutes after. The biggest thing to remember is that while Hanalei is still a dog and still gets to play, Adam and I hold her at most times to the discipline of a service dog. That means even when she acts like a “normal” puppy, she is still expected to obey commands strongly and quickly, walk with me the way she walks when she is working, and I still train her every day, twice a day, to work on her alert commands even if she isn’t using them daily. It’s all to keep her the best service dog she can be! Even if she’s not working every day. Hanalei is still just our furry little girl!

Processed with VSCO with c8 preset

I hope I was able to answer a lot of the basic questions I get in regards to Hanalei. These are all questions that helped me learn tremendously when I was searching for answers on how to properly go about getting a service dog in the most respectful way possible. From day one, I’ve been committed to taking Hanalei’s training seriously, so she can earn the title of being an active service dog for the rest of her life! Training is never completed, and it’s fun for both of us getting to work every day on perfecting our bond. It really is a rewarding thing for both of us. Please leave me comments below if you have any more questions! Do you have a service dog? Comment below what your service dog helps you with!

You can follow Hanalei’s journey on Instagram at @HeyHanalei here!

Until next time, xoxo,

What To Wear On An Airplane! Hint: It’s A Dress.

Traveling is kind of my jam. Since 2013, I’ve probably racked up at least 3 months of my entire life spent in an airplane! Honestly, I don’t mind too much; airplanes get me to all the amazing places I want to go. Recently, I went on a 10 day trip where I flew from LA to New York, spent a few days in NYC, and then flew from New York to  Barcelona and went on a cruise. Since just launching my clothing line IT’S ALL WILD, I’ve been obsessed with showing off my pieces, especially the Over Everything Dress in Midnight, which is one of my personal favorites! Obviously when you become a designer of anything, even the smallest things! (like, even toilet paper), you want to test out your products to make sure they are awesome and do exactly what you promise them to do. I designed the Over Everything Dress to be warm and cosy, yet comfortable to wear in any situation. I knew it needed to move freely, be a mini dress, but also have enough fabric to keep me toasty. The impossible quest! Basically, the Over Everything Dress needed to feel like a hug from a golden retriever puppy. That we did.

So of course, when we had the dreaded nine hour flight from New York City to London Gatwick (ugh, layovers), I thought it would put the Over Everything Dress to the ultimate test to see if it really did keep me comfortable through such a long period of time! Turns out, the dress did absolutely amazing and I was 110% snug as a bug in a rug the entire flight. I get cold really easily, so it’s nice to know that the dress held up through the sometimes harsh temperature changes that we all know planes go through.

Of course, I had to take some cute pics because I was absolutely feeling my outfit, and to be totally honest, I’d always wanted to take one of those super cool “Yep-I’m-A-Fashion-Blogger-At-The-Airport” photos that I see all the time. I dress like a hobo most of the time that I travel, so this was a very special moment for me. Here’s my perfect airplane outfit! Check the bottom of the post for outfit details.

Have you ever worn a dress on an airplane? Was it scary?? Sounds crazy, but I absolutely dreaded the idea of wearing a dress on an airplane until I made the Over Everything Dress! My legs usually get way too cold to take chances on!

As always, stay Wild!

Back.

*Sigh of relief* It feels so good to be back. You don’t know how much I missed you guys! The blog readers. The real O.G’s. The people who care about what I have to say regarding the random little things I do. I missed writing, and I cannot wait to get back into it! It’s kind of a complicated story about why I haven’t posted a blog in a month- but looooong story short, I was having someone redesign my website and it was taking way too long- like months. As I waited for my website to be worked on, I was sitting back watching Adam (my boyfriend for all the new readers) bloggity blog blog all day and night on his own website captainbarto.com. I was super jealous, seeing him get to write about all the fun things we both were doing together, while I couldn’t join in, because I was waiting for my website to be fixed! So finally, two days ago when he posted his blog about our trip in a helicopter together, I couldnt take it anymore and took matters into my own hands. I started that night- that very hour- and got to working on designing my site on my own. Within the last two days, I’ve been going hardcore, legit nonstop day and night working on developing the new Mylifeaseva Blog, which is what you see right now!

Developing websites is fun for me. I’ve been building websites since I was in sixth grade! And although I’m not a super professional website developer-mic-bobber, I feel like I’m absolutely in love with my new website. Maybe someone else could do it better, but I think what I’ve managed to get done in just two days, filled with I-need-to-get-back-to-blogging passion, is pretty dang cool.

So welcome back, Evanators! I can’t wait to share with you ALL the new things I’ve been working on! There is a LOT going on. In case you missed the last few months, here’s what I’ve been up to:

FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I launched my travel and adventure based clothing line It’s All Wild! You can shop my first collection on itsallwild.com and become a part of The Wild Side. Also, get excited for many new collections coming verrrrrry soon. I’m listening to everything you guys tell me you want me to make! It’s All Wild is made for you.

I traveled to Bahamas, The Mediterranean, Barcelona, Napa and London! Keep your eyes out for TONS AND TONS of photos from my trips coming soon!

I became the new Fantana for the legit ICONIC Fanta brand! Childhood Eva is quaking.

I became the new MTV and TRL correspondent! This is huge. Along with some of my favorite and best youtube comedy bffs, I’ll now be working on MTV, so you can find me on TV starting October! Childhood Eva and my mom are quaking once again.

I got a puppy! Hanalei Bartowski was welcomed into the family just a few months ago. She’s now almost 6 months old! She’s currently being trained to be a service dog for Medical Alert and PTSD! Go Hanalei!

I got casted on a HULU show! I play the character Lyssee in the high school comedy/drama “All Night”, on Hulu next year, so if you love when I act like someone else, you’re gonna love watching me in this!

Safe to say, this is a crazy year for me. I’m doing a lot and working insanely hard. Life is pretty cool right now, and I can’t wait to show you all that it involves. My life has been filled with battles and ups and downs, and it’s really cool to be someone that you can relate to to show people that life DOES in fact, get a whole lot better, and life can even be the best sometimes. Don’t ever stop smiling, staring at the sun (except in the event of a solar eclipse) and most importantly, don’t ever stop being Wild.

What To Wear On Vacation! Bahamas in Lulus

Sponsored by Lulus

Hey guys! I recently just returned from the most AMAZING trip to the Bahamas with my friends France and Jesse. The whole trip was literally too much to put into words. I got to swim with turtles, befriend a few giant (and very intimidating) stingrays, play with the nurse sharks again and more! I will have a full post on the Bahamas in the future, but for now, I thought I would do a post showing you my two absolute FAVORITE looks from the trip. I could literally live in these looks, and think they embody what vacationing is all about. Here are my two favorite looks from the Bahamas!

The Flowing Maxi

White dresses basically embody travel goals. They’re elegant and whimsical, and oh-so perfect for picture taking. Especially this great dress I found from Lulus. It flows in the wind so gorgeously and somehow managed to make me look two feet taller. The tie waist gives it an “Im not trying, but I look like an effortless victorian princess” vibe, and the crisp white color can bring out anyone’s tan- which is why it’s perfect for vacationing! I paired it with a floppy sunhat and of course had to go barefoot and play in the waves.

The Tan Bikini

Theres something I love so much about a tan bikini. This bikini felt like a luxurious second skin to me in the Bahamas! Tan is cohesive and flattering on top of freshly sun kissed skin. I’m personally obsessed with white bikinis, and this tan bikini made me rethink my whole summer look. After wearing it in the Bahamas, I shortly after saw THREE other friends of mine wear the same one as me in tropical places! It’s safe to say this bikini is catching on. Now I just need some good accessories…and a way to keep this tan going strong all summer.

Love,

Eva
