It still doesn't look like she ever received the updated version but at least I'm no longer a scammer - life is good :) I would go tell her she should be able to reload the book and get the good version but I think I'll just be happy she doesn't think I'm trying to cheat her.

It's finally fixed. My husband received an email from Amazon saying it had been fixed and the new version could be downloaded. I'm relieved. I knew it had been fixed on my end but it was still showing the red x's yesterday morning on the preview. That was finally straightened out last night so I think everything is finally how it should be. I'm hoping the lady who left the 1 star review gets her new copy. I wouldn't want her to think I was trying to rip her off. I doubt if she'll change her review but it will be fine if she doesn't. It wasn't like I was raking in the money anyway:)

Thank you so much, Judith. I appreciate your help. I have uploaded a new version on Amazon but as this morning it was still showing red x's. Amazon is supposed to look the new file over and if it's in good shape they are going to resend the ebook out again. Borrowed wings was published in 2012 when Amazon allowed pdf files. They no longer do. I never thought anything about uploading a new file after they stopped allowing pdf files. I guess I should have looked but I assumed if there was a problem with a file they would let me know. Of course you know what they say about assuming. I hope it's fixed. I may have to scan the paintings again and start from the beginning. That's such a pain but if it fixes the problem then I will. Of course it had to happen on a holiday where we're busy cooking and getting together with friends and family. It's a total mess. I was just sick last night when I saw I had been promoting a book that wasn't uploading right.

It's good seeing you on here.

I've been working on it off and on for some time now. A lot of them are just short stories. It doesn't take long to write those. I think any time someone decides to sit down and write it's impressive so I think you're doing a fine job.
