“Love and cancer. Two words that at times, are inextricably linked to one another. Each resonates with the heart and soul beyond description and evokes the most far-reaching and deeply moving aspects of the human spirit. Everyone’s life has been touched by this dreaded disease in one way or another. A Season With Hope deals with it in a loving and touching manner that not only made it moving to write, but truly inspiring to read. I know people will enjoy the story.”

Drew Alan Season With Hope is compelling, heartfelt & oftentimes humorous. It provides a glimpse into the lives of those who lovingly triumph in the face of adversity. The characters & storyline revolve around the sport of baseball, an area of expertise for the author. It makes for an interesting background from which the story emerges. The love within a family & how that love brings others into their circle is at the heart of this story. Cleverly written, it will appeal to everyone, sports fans & hopeless romantics alike. I highly recommend it!

Drew Alan Drew Wathey’s first effort as a novelist is clearly a home run. He creates a compelling look at America’s national pastime, the art of love and captures the essence of both. He deftly moves from scene to scene and character to character and commands your attention on every page. You find yourself completely immersed in the story from the very first chapter. A Season With Hope was very enjoyable to read as it touched on the lives of people who could be your friends or neighbors.

Drew Alan A Season With Hope is beautifully written and displays a unique sensitivity towards lost love found again. With the great game of baseball as its conduit, the novel takes you in and never lets you go. I highly recommend it.

Drew Alan While I don’t usually read love stories, I found that Drew was able to bring a solid story about baseball life in the minors and a super star trying to make it to the “Bigs,” together with a compelling heartfelt story about a young lady struggling with her health. The stories intertwine to a bitter-sweet conclusion. For Drew’s inaugural story, he produced a great read!

Drew Alan Everyone in the world has been touched by cancer in one way or another. A Season With Hope is more than just a baseball/love story. It’s about redemption and never letting go of that person who has always stayed in your heart. Wathey does a masterful job in having you root for your favorite characters and displays a keen knowledge of the game we all love and the people in it.
