Kim found her interest in writing at the young age of nine, when she penned her first stories on three-holed, blue-lined paper. Those handwritten pages, telling of the fictional kingdom called "Anasteria," have been long-lost and forgotten, but the seed was planted and would germinate for some time.

In 2015 she self-published Fire Lilies - Out of the Ashes, a non-fiction Christian devotional and bible study for women.

She also writes fiction under the name K.M. Krenik and is the author of The Ranfurly Mysteries, a romantic mystery series set in a dystopian world where dragons exist.

Kim Krenik and 2 other people liked Gina Maria's review of Danger Lies Within (The Ranfurly Mysteries, #1): "Have you ever started a book that’s not really your genre vibe? I’m not really a sci-fi girlie. I don’t usually read about Lords, and the far-future trope isn't my thing. And after reading chapter 1, I wasn’t sure this story was for me.
