Amanda Ryan was born and raised in PA Dutch Country. She attended college in NYC for musical theatre and eventually moved back to Central PA with her husband and herd of guinea pigs.

By day she works as an administrator for a non-profit; by night, she dances, sings, reads and writes.

Amanda loves just about all things romance. She started out reading historicals and then branched into just about everything else, except Amish romance (which is ironic, since she lives in Amish Country). She has a particular fondness for fantasy and/or gothic fiction.

I'm a HUGE Assassin's Creed fan. Like, "...ok, coworkers, I'll be taking off the following days b/c the new game comes out and I have to play the whole thing so...KTHXBAI" fan. I made a costume (poorly) and everything. The AC franchise nailed a perfect blend of fantasy and history, and a KILLER (literally) dash of butt-kicking. I am one of the most passive people you will ever meet, but if you happen to overhear me playing AC, you'll hear me cackling like a madwoman as I stealth-assassinate people.

Keeper was born from my daydreaming about Assassin's Creed-like characters set in my fantasy world of Aren. I'm a huge nerd for character development, and Ilyas's and Amalia's story began to fall into place only once I had them fully fleshed out as individual people. It became a game of "let's see how these two will react when I put them in THIS situation!"(less)

The Music of Keeper

A soundtrack to a book? Hell yes.

I’m one of those writers who has to have some sort of soundtrack playing in the background when I write. My husband thinks I’m nuts. I think it’s just the dancer in me. Music gives me ALL THE FEELS. When I need to write a scene and am struggling, I’ll pull out a certain tone of song that will help me “get to that place.”

I pulled together some of the music of Keeper
