Whether it's taking a quick walk around the block, a long hike in the mountains, going to a ballet class, or even just sitting on an exercise ball for a few minutes is a fantastic way for me to get the creative juices flowing again. The sequence of events that followed were pretty bizarre, and remarkable. And it all started with a small gold necklace that I threw away just a few weeks earlier.....

It was so weird. And boy, did I dodge a bullet!(less)

This March marks the 4th year anniversary of the release of my second book, “The Reluctant Ninja: How a Middle-Aged Princess Became a Warrior Queen.” Being an author is exciting, rewarding, and terrifying. Putting yourself out there for all the world to read (and judge) your work is incredibly intimidating, and vulnerable.

Sometimes you wonder if it was worth all the hard work and effort. Or if any
