I think they are funny together; their humour feeds off each other, so that they manage to expose each other's flaws very well.

Hi. Thank you for your question.
Stained deals with some difficult issues, including rape, and I would urge caution if you are prone to becoming upset as a result of reading books that tackle such emotive topics. That said, how often can you actually find a novel that does tackle such topics? Whilst the story does explore some dark subjects, the overall message is very positive; one of light over dark, freedom over oppression, hope over despair.
As for the writing, this is a difficult thing. Some of the scenes in Stained were mentally exhausting to write, but when I was writing them I had in the back of my mind the reasons why I was writing this novel, and that helped. Also, writing the more difficult stuff earlier in the day was better than late at night, as to write close to bedtime means you take the words and images with you. And often after I had written such emotionally draining parts of the book, I would then go out and do something completely different; lighthearted, and relaxing. I hope that helps. Abda(less)

Stained now published

I am pleased to say that Stained was published on 3 October. I have had some brilliant feedback already, which is really great.
Well, now the hard work really begins. I am preparing for the start of my book promotion activities, commencing with a BBC Radio interview tomorrow afternoon. Then I have three author talks in the next week, after which I will be heading off to the USA for my book tour.
