I developed activities to give students basic biblical familiarity, and then was asked later to make a summer camp curriculum to address biblical illiteracy. The first 3/4 are John Updike, but then you get the feeling that he tapped out, and maybe held a raffle to let someone else write the final quarter of the book. I'm not sure what happened, but it's really a mess: unconvincing and poorly written.

John Sorry to have missed you when I was in the States last week... I did go to a bar in Junction and drink a Dirty Hippie (brewed in Palisade!) in your honor. Next year, I'll be back again in October. I'm hoping to organize a Las Vegas trip for whoever wants to join. Please give the idea some thought! : )
